Welcome to my Web page! I hope you will find it a great resource and a way to stay connected with what’s happening in Olympia.
I’m extremely honored that you have chosen me to once again represent you and your interests in the Legislature. Please know that I will work tirelessly on your behalf and will represent you with honor, dignity and respect.
The 2013 legislative session will be filled with difficult choices as we enact a new vision and chart a new course for Washington state. The budget and government spending will once again take center stage as we try to correct the overspending of previous Legislatures, set our core priorities and respond to the recession.
My priorities this year are to implement policies that will help our private sector create jobs. Excessive regulations, continued increases in workers compensation rates and unemployment insurance, escalating minimum wage costs, and onerous business & occupation taxes have made Washington a difficult place to do business. We must not only rein in government spending, we need to get out of the way of the entrepreneurs in this state and the small businesses that will help lead us out of this recession.
Please feel free to send me an e-mail or contact my Olympia office to express your opinions, ideas and concerns. If you’re interested in receiving e-mail updates during session, click the link on the right side of this page that says “Sign up for my e-mail updates.”
It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve you.
