47th District state lawmakers to hold town hall meeting in Kent

State lawmakers from the 47th Legislative District, which includes Covington and parts of Auburn, Kent and Renton, will hold a town-hall meeting March 23. They’ll share the latest news from Olympia with residents and answer questions about issues facing the Legislature, including K-12 education, transportation and the development of a new two-year state budget.

Sen. Joe Fain and Reps. Mark Hargrove and Pat Sullivan will be at the Golden Steer Steak n’ Rib House in Kent from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to ask questions during the event, but are also invited to send them in prior to the meeting via email at, and  or by calling Sen. Fain’s office toll-free at 1-866-786-0598. The toll-free hotline for the House of Representatives is 1-800-562-6000.

The Golden Steer Steak n’ Rib House is located at 12826 104th Avenue S.E. in Kent.
