Sattgast: As the Legislature wraps up its first month of the 2013 session, Republican Representative Joe Schmick says it’s time to hear questions and comments from the citizens he serves. Personally visiting all the communities in the 9th District during a busy session is nearly impossible. So he’s doing the next best thing – holding a community conversation with citizens over the telephone.

Schmick: “The 9th District is bigger than Connecticut and Rhode Island added together. So this type of communication is very effective, and we get great response from the folks at home. I just think it’s a great use of resources and everybody’s time. And you don’t have to go out! You can stay home and listen.”
