PERSONAL: Mike Hope, 37, was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Mike has lived in Snohomish County for 14 years. His current home is in Lake Stevens with his wife Sara and son Noah.
EDUCATION:
B.A. in Sociology from John Carroll University.
M.A in Policy Studies at the University of Washington.
MILITARY SERVICE: Served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1994 – 2001.
OCCUPATION: Mike has served the public for 14 years as a Seattle police officer and detective. He is also a high school wrestling coach, and previously coached football and track at Monroe High School. Sara and Mike owned a small business, Hope’s Gym.

The 2013 regular session adjourned April 28. A special session began May 13 - budget writers and caucus leadership are negotiating an agreement before other members are called back to Olympia to vote on a final budget.
