We face many challenges in our state right now. My priorities are finding ways to improve the climate for jobs, craft a sustainable budget and provide a quality education for children. Voters were clear that they cannot afford increased taxes. We must find long-term solutions that put Washington on a stable path of prosperity and growth for generations.

Growing up on Wilcox Family Farms, I saw firsthand the hurdles farmers, manufacturers and small businesses face in being successful here. Rebuilding the economy is what we need in order to pay the bills, both in Olympia and in our own homes. We need to re-create the conditions that once allowed the rural economy in Pierce and Thurston counties to flourish. My goal is to facilitate the common-sense environment of regulation and opportunity that’s required for that to happen.
