Thank you for trusting me to serve as part of your 10th District legislative team. It is an honor to represent you.
I remain committed to finding positive solutions to the most pressing issues we face in the 10th District and our state. I believe government must ensure the most important priorities, services and projects receive the first dollars and that budget writers keep taxpayers in mind to ensure budgets are passed that live within our means. Working effectively with my colleagues, we will tackle even the most daunting challenges with common sense solutions.
Right now, our number one issues are jobs and creating the economic climate necessary for a sustainable recovery. The Legislature must do all it can to foster job retention and creation. It is imperative that we address the challenges that make it difficult for employers to create and retain jobs in Washington state while protecting our competitive advantages and quality of life. Economic stability is essential to our ability to fund education, public safety, programs for our must vulnerable, and critical infrastructure projects.
My door is always open to you. Your stories inspire my work and inform my decisions, and it’s important that I hear what you have to say on issues affecting the 10th District. I look forward to meeting with you, your community group, school or other civic group to discuss legislative issues, ideas and answer questions.
Thank you for the privilege of serving you, the interests of the 10th Legislative District and Washington state.
