A bill sponsored by Rep. Liz Pike received the governor’s signature Tuesday, just hours before the lawmakers left Olympia after adjourning the Legislature’s third special session this year. House Bill 1157 would allow licensing subagents to keep a portion of fees collected when a “quick title” is issued.

House passes Rep. Liz Pike’s quick title bill. . . again!

For the second time, the House of Representatives has approved a bill by Rep. Liz Pike that would allow licensing subagents to keep a portion of quick title fees as compensation for their work to process the applications. The bill originally passed the House in February, but died in the Senate at the end of the regular session in April. Continue reading
