The 2013 regular session adjourned April 28. A special session began May 13 - budget writers and caucus leadership are negotiating an agreement before other members are called back to Olympia to vote on a final budget.

We have many challenges before us in the Legislature as we work to preserve and improve our state’s quality of life.
Among my many priorities as your state representative, I’m working for you to: expand higher educational opportunities within the district; improve our local transportation system; ensure a reliable, affordable ferry service; refine the Growth Management Act to make it work better for our local communities; support our veterans and local military operations; and stimulate our economy, create new jobs and support and strengthen local business.
As our state faces budget challenges, I also believe it is especially important to protect taxpayers while preserving services for our state’s most vulnerable population.
