Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Toward the end of each week we receive an internal document that informs us of important public hearings coming up the following week. I know your schedules are busy, but I am going to pick some of the more interesting hearings that may interest you or pertain to our district in case you are able to drive over and sign-in (for or against a bill), and/or testify in a public hearing before the committee.
Below are four committee hearings I wanted to highlight for this week. Please let me know if you have any questions.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12
- Scrap Metal Theft – Public Hearing on House Bill 1552 – Public Safety Committee, House Hearing Room “D” @ 8:00 a.m.
- Regulatory Freedom & Accountability Act – Public Hearing on House Bill 1163 – Government Operations and Elections Committee, House Hearing Room “E” @ 8:00 a.m.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13
- One-Stop Portal for Washington Businesses – Public Hearing on House Bill 1757 – Technology, Trade and Economic Development Committee, House Hearing Room “C” @ 8:00 a.m.
- Firearm Legislation – Public Hearing on House Bill’s 1147, 1588, 1612 & 1676 – Judiciary Committee, House Hearing Room “A” @ 8:00 a.m.
