About Dave

PERSONAL:
Dave is serving his first term representing the 10th Legislative District, which encompasses all of Island County and parts of Snohomish and Skagit counties.
Dave is a Sergeant with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and is past president of the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs serving over 4,500 law enforcement officers statewide. Before entering law enforcement, Dave served in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted Aircraft Mechanic. Dave also teaches part time at Everett Community College.
Dave and his wife of 23 years, Lisa, have two adult sons and a granddaughter.

OCCUPATION:
Sergeant in the  Special Operations Division, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Part time Criminal Justice instructor at Everett Community College.

LEGISLATIVE ASSIGNMENTS:
Washington Marine Resources Advisory Council
Community Economic Revitalization Board

PUBLIC SERVICE:
Member of Executive Council and Childcare Ministry Team at Camano Lutheran Church.
Volunteer for church youth group mission trips to Mexico and New Orleans to participate in Hurricane Katrina clean-up. President of the Washington Association of Police and Sheriffs (WACOPS) 2010-2012; member of executive board of WACOPS 2006-2010.
Youth Football and Basketball coach for ages 7 to 13.
