About Cathy

Rep. Cathy Dahlquist serves on the Technology and Economic Development and Rules committees. She formerly served as the lead Republican on the House Education Committee and member of the Joint Task Force on Education Funding, which was formed to address legislative compliance with the McCleary v. State of Washington state Supreme Court ruling on education funding and reforms.

As a mother of three children, she has experience in our state’s education system as a parent and also served as the president of the Enumclaw School Board. She is passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed in school.

She also understands the impact of government and the economy on employers and residents. She has heard from many small-business owners about the challenges they face with government red tape and tax uncertainty.

She believes that government must do the same as employers and families are doing – live within current income by responsibly prioritizing spending.
