Dear friends and neighbors,
I hope you enjoy navigating this site and learning more about the lawmaking process in Washington.
Legislators face a number of challenges. I believe we can solve the problems facing our state, create job opportunities for the citizens and keep our businesses here. We must address the regulatory recession that is forcing many of our local employers out of business.
We must protect our balanced economic base through responsible fiscal policy. As the ranking Republican member of the House Appropriations Committee, I have worked to implement meaningful reforms such as zero-based budgeting and respecting the state’s debt limit.
Balancing the budget without an additional burden on our state’s taxpayers, protecting jobs, education and ensuring access to affordable health care will require fiscal discipline and firm resolve.
I welcome your comments and ideas.
Thank you again for visiting and I hope you find the information here useful. If you have any questions, please contact me through the link above.
