The 2013 regular session adjourned April 28. A special session began May 13 - budget writers and caucus leadership are negotiating an agreement before other members are called back to Olympia to vote on a final budget.

It’s an honor to represent the great people of the 10th District. Our unique communities make us the envy of the state.
I am working to make sure the Legislature sets priorities starting with the fundamental functions of government. We must fully fund K-12 education first, and support our men and women on the front lines of public safety.
Having raised a family in the 10th district, I understand the importance of making sure our transportation needs are met and maintained. Our ferry system and roads are absolutely vital to our quality of life in our beautiful district.
I have spent my life in service, and I am honored to serve as your Washington State Representative.
